There is a conspiracy for everything these days. Even for the funniest man in America Dave Chappelle. A site has surfaced onto the net known as Chappelle Theory which gives you “The Truth” behind Dave Chappelle never coming back for his third season.
The Truth
Apparently this crack team of activists, talk show hosts and comedians continually threatened Dave Chappelle through out the filming of his show. They did this to the point of threatening his life and his family’s life until Chappelle couldn’t take it anymore so he shut down production of the show, turned down fifty million dollars and ran off the Africa for a few weeks. That’s about it.
If you actually take the time to read the site you will be bombarded with a timeline of events. One thing I am confused about is where the hell this guy is getting all these facts. Chappelle was not harassed by a group called the Dark Crusaders; if he was indeed harassed, show me some hard evidence. Who calls their group the Dark Crusaders anyway? Al Sharpton couldn’t have come up with something better than the Dark Crusaders? Give me a break.
You can see in interviews on CNN that Chappelle just felt the stereotypes he was joking about became more “enforced.” He got tired of the constant “I’m Rick James bitch” comments. I still hear people saying it today as if it was said yesterday. He didn’t want to be a rich man controlled by some network. You can see this in his skits in the lost episodes. He isn’t looking for the fortune; he just wants to make people laugh. He’s not the only man in the entertainment business to not be a greedy asshole. Believe in what you want but there isn’t a conspiracy behind everything, truth is not always stranger than fiction.
Now I leave you with a gif image I made of the best skit on the Chappelle show. Fuck the I’m Rick James bitch skit, its old news. BYAAAA!!!
